Sarasota Opera House
The Sarasota Opera House renovation inlcudes the creation of a three level atrium in the main lobby.  Assured Fire Safety worked with Killis Allmond AIA of San Antonio to design a passive smoke control system for the lobby and performed life safety egress calculations for the building.
Mahaffey Theater Renovation

Saint Petersburg, Florida

Renovation of the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida included support of Aude,Shand Williams Architects on the Fire Protection compartmentation and the development and acceptance of the building's Life Safety Plan. The renovation on the St. Petersburg waterfront anchors downtown renewal with the future home of the Dali Museum adjacent to the Mahaffey Theater. Second floor elevator landings are protected by the Smoke Guard System.

YMCA Condominium Conversion

Saint Petersburg, Florida

Built in 1927 for $550,000 the YMCA building is significant for its distinction as one of the largest community funded projects in the City of St. Petersburg.  The building retains its architectural integrity as an excellent example of the Mediterranean Revival style of architecture and also retains significant interior features (the tile pool, the cypress beams and the tiled lobby). The Mediterranean Revival building is four stories with a basement and a fifth-story tower, the style is expressed with arched windows and doorways, wreathed columns, balconies trimmed with ornamental iron railings, and varied roof lines with barrel tile. With the YMCA's move to new larger quarters the development of the building was in doubt until Vector Realty purchased the property for conversion to condominums while maintaining its historic character.
Fire Protection and Life Safety work with the owners entailed using the building's historic designation while updating the building to meet current building and fire code requirements. Despite this work, the renovation of this historic buildig is on hold.
